Nowadays we are facing danger on every corner! It is hard to predict or even imagine what can happen the next second. That’s why it is important to be prepared. For example, if there are intruders you will want to have your door locked before help arrives. How to do that with things that are in hand? See the following video.
the video below reverses it for other safety purposes. YouTube user Phil Crockett came up with a brilliant way to lock a door by modifying a dinner fork. The “fork lock,” however, is easy to make, and is very useful when wanting to add a little extra security to a motel room, public restroom (which often have broken locks), or on any interior or exterior door.
All you need to assemble this DIY project is a dinner fork with two-inch prongs, a vice, and a saw. The handle of the fork should be able to fit in between the prongs of the fork. Essentially, you’re just bending the fork, and in a few minutes you have an amazingly simple door lock. This man is a genius!
The great thing is the fork lock pretty much works on just about every type of door. So once you’ve made yourself one, you’ll never have to make another!
